ABOUT ME
I'm Rykon Volta, which is obviously a penname. I grew up loving scifi, from Star Wars to Star Trek. In middle school, I got into Isaac Asimov's Foundation Series which had a great influence on my mind going forward. The Robot Series also inspired me to eventually begin writing. I began writing a series of science fiction novelettes in high school called the Monsters of Titan although I never finished it and eventually scrapped the plotline.

In high school, I was heavily inspired by a book called "The Singularity is Near" by Ray Kurzweil. It's a book on futurism that has fantastic predictions for how the future will unfold, including the decay of Moore's Law by around 2020. Many of these predictions had great accuracy. This novel is what led me to become a Singularitarian, a subject on which I write much science fiction. The concept of a technological singularity has many interesting ramifications for what society may become.

I was an atheist from high school until recently, after which some experiences in my life led me to find God. I am now a theist though I still write science fiction mostly and have lost little love for futurism and science in finding God.
